Let there be light

This lights are so cool. They have a classy appearance and work great! So great in fact, I'm ordering 2 more. I didn't want to remove the wood from the top of the post,(just had my deck built) so I lifted the reflective plate inside and was able to screw them down and get the same look. A definite must have for the deck. Good quality and what's more they use the same battery that all the other solar light use. I purchased the 18 pack of rechargeable solar lights, so I'm set. What a great buy!!!

Overall very pleased. This does not put out a lot of light as others mentioned but it actually puts out more than I expected. It will be interesting to see how long the batteries last. The only issue I had was I ordered 12 lights and one light was shipped with only one battery (not two). But I am certain Amazon will make that good. Great item!

Works fine and looks great!

Its a tiny little cute solar light. Its only less than a foot in length and about 4 inchs in height. Also,each turtle is only about 3x3inch in size. Anyway, the light is yellowish-brownish (due to the carapace color) bright and turns on automatically at night (charging at day). Easy to use, just turn on and put it somewhere outside and enjoy it each night. We put it in the corner of our patio and it enlights the whole corner in a faint but cozy way.

Looks very nice in the daytime. At night - one only sees the shells lit up so you can't really tell that they are turtles. They are cute.

Awesome Lights!

I bought two packs of these. 20 lights. 2 so far haven't worked, and thats why I rated it a 4.These lights are great for the size, don't expect a ton of light out of them, but its enough to light up the walkway or as an accent to the house.I can walk down my walk way and see any obstacles no problem with these. The batteries looked a little cheap, I will probally replace those soon for a longer life.So far every night the 18 lights come on. 2 of them have never. I'm going to junk them or keep them around for spare parts.Not to bad, I would buy these again for the price!

Pretty night lights

These lights are small but shine a pretty light along the faux creek-bed in the back yard. Don't think lights, think fireflies, and you'll get the size right. One star off because the stakes are a bit short (IMHO) and the lights are SO small. For the price, these are a great buy, though, and they add a sort of fairy-land charm to the yard.Setup was easy and quick. With a day's charge, the lights stay on sunset to sunrise. Silly as it is, my favorite thing is to watch them flicker on as evening falls.My box came with ten lights but only eight stakes. I requested the missing two stakes by email from Moonrays (3 weeks ago) but have not yet received them.

Nice little lights

Bought these from Amazon two weeks ago but only put them up this past weekend. Very fast shipping (as always) from Amazon and had them within two days of my order. Opened the box right away to look at them and was impressed how the Moonrays box had the individual tops pacakged inside to prevent breakage.As I was placing them this weekend along my front stone path there were two things I noticed. For one, the plastic is very light and seems fragile to me. I don't know how well these will hold up, but they look pretty good for now. The second thing was the length of the stake at the bottom. It was probably a little over 4" long, which was good because they should stick in the ground fairly well. The hardest part was trying to keep all the lights even with each other and keep them straight as I lightly hammered them into the ground. (*Note: Hammer the stakes into the first, them attach the tops. Don't try to hammer them with the tops on. Duh)Out of the package, I only found one light that was dim...possibly a bad battery or just needed to be recharged. But I used 8 of the 10 for my path and, so far, they have been great. They light up well enough to see the stepping stones but not overly bright. They just seem to bring a touch of class to the front of my house at night, which was all that I wanted.Overall, very pleased with this product. Took off 1 star for the 1 dim light and the flimsiness of the plastic.

I bought this product for my driveway because I did not want addition cost to run electrical line to the front of the garage. The product has worked very well, the neighbors could not tell that the floodlight was a solar product. The recommendation to anyone wanting to buy this product is to make sure that is adequate sunlight in the area you will be mounting the light. The light is most effective in areas that are not well lighted.

Great motion sensor light!

I was increasing security around my house and wanted to install solar powered motion sensor lights. I did a Google search and the Maxsa continued to come up. I like to purchase through Amazon because of their reputation. I recieved them very fast,put them out so the battery could charge,installed at locations I chose, and they works perfectly. You're able to set sensitivity of motion sensor and how dark you want it to be before they will come on+ the length of time the light stays on. So far,so good!

Like the stained glass however it does not stay lit for very long. Unlike other solar lights I have purchased before, this one stays lit for only a couple of hours.

For $1 more, Home Depot carries one with 2 batteries, longer, brighter light and the back comes off for easy installation. I bought 5 of these and wish I hadn't.

Accent light

Caveat Emptor

The batteries themselves are probably fine. The problem is that the ones I received had already expired and didn't work. Amazon replaced them for free, but those, too, had already expired. The end result for me was a lot of hassle and I still don't have any usable solar batteries.

They should last for up to a year and the ones that I have used as replacemnts, 4 out of 12 have only lasted 2 weeks. Batteries should last far longer, so rather disapointed in them.

Disapointing

I found that although the batteries lit my solar lights brightly at first, as the weeks go by,they lose their power. We have had bright sunny days so I know that that is not the problem. I also let them charge in the lamp with it switched off for a few sunny days. Disappointing :(

If you are looking for a soft glow and flicker this is the item for you. The light itself looks as if you have an actual candle in its frosted encasing. If you are actually looking for a tiki torch that provides lighting then you may not want to get this one,it provides little light.
